When designing a hairline, we draw a line first. But after surgery, what remains on the forehead is not a uniform line like one drawn on paper.
At close range a natural boundary shows sparse thin hairs in the front and gradually greater thickness and density toward the back. Small irregularities together create a flow.
When planting each graft, we choose position, angle, direction, and thickness. This is why density alone is not the goal. We also consider how grafts connect with existing hair.
Our aim is for hair to suit the person as if it were theirs originally. However, individual differences in hair thickness and occipital donor resources mean we explain possible outcomes and limits in advance.
